How is everything going on with all of you. I am sorry that I am emailing you on a Wednesday and not a Monday. The whole Nausori Zone has switched their preparation day around to today because they want us to use the most time we have this week. This week we have Mission Tour and one of the General Authorities is coming down to tour the mission! This is going to start tomorrow so that is why our schedule is different this week. I am really sorry if this made you really nervous. I know that if I had a kid out on a mission and I did not hear from them for two days after I was supposed to, I would get worried. But there is nothing to fear, I am still alive down here.
Everything went great this week and we had lots of success. We had a really good week because we had the Tavalu Elders with us for a couple of days, so we doubled what we would have.
This week, we finished Elder Banks training. It is a lot different going from the training schedule to the regular schedule. I feel like we are out proselyting forever. We now have an extra five hours each week. That is quite a bit of extra time.
We had a new missionary that came into this zone named Elder Gregory. This was a pretty funny story that he told me. The first time that I met him was in the Internet Cafe. I was sitting with my back towards him and he came up to me and shook my hand. He called me by name with out even knowing me@ I thought that this was way weird because I have never met him and he already knew who I was and my name. I asked him how he knew my name and he said that he had been reading my blog for the past 4 months and that he really loved it. So it was really cool to see him and know that my blog is actually doing something. He said it was really nice and that my mom does a nice job.
But as for the week here in Waila, it went great. We had a total of 2 investigators to church this week. We have also set up a baptismal date for the 19th of January for a girl that is a daughter of a less active. This week we taught her the importance of baptism and invited her to be baptized. She accepted but she wants to wait until her father gets back from work in the middle of January. So throughout the next couple months, we are really going to help build her testimony and build her relationships inside of the church. We are also going to try to get the rest of the family to accept to be baptized on that day also. So we have at least a couple people that we are going to focus on for the next couple of weeks.
This week we also found a couple of new investigators and a couple of less active members that do not want to say that they are members of this church anymore. It was really sad to see this and to see what really happened with them. Our bishop gave us a couple of less active members and they do not want to be part of the church anymore or call themselves LDS. We had one that said that he does not want to waste our time and especially his time. It was really weird because we thought that we had the wrong guy but when we confirmed with bishop, it was the right guy. We really want him to come back to church and we want him back into the fold.
Well this week was great. Sorry I cannot write anymore, I am out of time. I want to let you all know that I love you all very much and I love being a missionary in Fiji.
Have a great week this week and always remember that you are a missionary also and to stay on the staight path.
Loloma mai vei,
